Fortis Healthcare rose 1.38% to Rs 117.65 at 10:42 IST on BSE, extending gains for the fifth consecutive day, after the company acquired 10 hospitals owned by unlisted Wockhardt Hospitals for a consideration of Rs 909 crore.

MUMBAI - Fortis Healthcare Ltd said on Monday it will spend 9.09 billion rupees to acquire 10 hospitals from Wockhardt Hospitals Ltd, promoted by the founders of Wockhardt Ltd.
